Essentials

 

ABOUT EACH OF THE PROGRAMS 

4 Ingredients:​ Learn how to make delicious and nutritious meals! Each class we prepare, cook, and enjoy our meals together.

Youth Matters @ Marayong: Is a youth group for young people 12 –16.  We aim to help build personal resilience and promote mental well –being in young men and women. The program is designed to encourage responsibility, leadership, team building and problem solving.  Activities will include art workshops, learning to cook healthy meals, DIY activities, motivational talks and guest speakers,   touching on topics such as Healthy relationships, mental health, communication, nutrition and fitness and safe sex.   The program is also a place for young people to explore their strengths, form friendships, and most importantly have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

Pop Up Youth Space: A safe place created specifically for young people to hang out, participate in discussions and activities and  receive information and referral.

Essentials: Free hygiene products and quality clothing.

Youth Matters @ Doonside Cottage –  Is a youth group for young people 16 years and over.  We aim to help build personal resilience, promote mental well –being in young men and women.  The program is designed to encourage responsibility, leadership, team building and problem solving skills.  Workshops and guest speakers will be available to young people to assist in meeting future aspirations and pathways to education and employment.  The program is also a place for young people to explore their strengths, form friendships, and most importantly have fun in a safe and welcoming environment via activities such as; sport, learning to cook healthy meals, DIY activities, and motivational talks.  

            *Please note that all BACC Youth Programs are inclusive of trans and nonbinary young people.
