Our early literacy program, Paint Mt Druitt REaD aims to improve outcomes for children from birth to 5 years old.  By reading, singing and rhyming, looking and listening, talking and drawing and writing with a child every day from birth we can improve a child’s outcome in these 5 areas of early childhood development;

1. Physical Health and Wellbeing
2. Social Competence
3. Emotional Maturity
4. Language and Cognitive Skills
5. Communication Skills and General Knowledge

We hold a REaDing Day once a year, attend festivals, and bring Rooby Roo (our literacy mascot) out into the community to help deliver our messages about the importance of early literacy.
