ABOUT EACH OF THE PROGRAM
Baby Rhyme Time: Enjoy songs, finger plays and rhymes with your 0-5 year old while developing their language and pre-reading skills. Meet other mums, dads, grandparents & caregivers in these fun and interactive sessions. Free |
Diabetes Support Group: Support and education relating to managing diabetes. For meeting dates please contact BACC |
Parents Group: A structured social support group for parents which will give them the opportunity to meet new friends, share information and take part in activities that will enhance their self-esteem & life skills. Limited childcare is available. $2 per session |
Sewing: A social group suitable for beginners – come along and learn how to sew or share your expertise with others whilst making new friends. $2 per class |
Supported Playgroup: Provides a structured and positive learning environment in which 0-5 year-olds can socialise, play and learn. It’s a great way for parents/carers to meet and share experiences while they engage with their children using a variety of fun and educational activities. The group is facilitated by BACC staff who are also available to provide advice and information on parenting issues and referrals to appropriate services where needed. Free |
Tuning in to Kids (Emotionally Intelligent Parenting): Tuning in to Kids is a FREE 6 week parenting program that helps children learn to understand and regulate their emotions. Children with good emotional intelligence often have better emotional , social and physical functioning as well as fewer behavioural difficulties. Free– Limited Childcare |
