ABOUT EACH OF THE PROGRAMS
Baby Rhyme Time: Enjoy songs, finger plays and rhymes with your 0-5 year-old while developing their language and pre-reading skills. Meet other mums, dads, grandparents & caregivers in these fun and interactive sessions. Free |
Bringing up Great Kids This FREE parenting program provides strategies for parents to review and enhance patterns of communication with their children, to promote more respectful interactions and encourage the development of children’s positive self-identify. |
Exercise Class for Special Needs: This group allows people to express themselves freely through low impact exercise, dance, music and games – a great opportunity for free expression and fun. $3 per session |
Friday Friendship Group: A fun, friendly and informal social group that offers in-house activities and planned outings. Time, venue and costs vary according to the weekly activity. |
Move It & Lose It: A fitness class with a personal trainer for all ages and fitness levels. Please bring a bottle of water. $5 per session |
Qigong: A gentle exercise for your mind, body and spirit. $2 per session. |
Supported Playgroup: Provides a structured and positive learning environment in which 0-5 year-olds can socialise, play and learn. It’s a great way for parents/carers to meet and share experiences while they engage with their children using a variety of fun and educational activities. The group is facilitated by BACC staff who are also available to provide advice and information on parenting issues and referrals to appropriate services where needed. Held at William Dean Public School located at 15 Yarramundi Drive, Dean Park. Free |
Yoga: Strengthen and tone your body as well as improve your mental health. Yoga mats are available as well as chairs for those with limited mobility or injury. Please bring a bottle of water. $5 per session |
