BACC provides information to the wider community. The organisation also provides referrals to support groups, community organisations and human service providers in the Blacktown local government area.
Paint Mt Druitt REaD
BACC organises year round events in Mt Druitt to promote the importance of reading, writing, talking, rhyming and singing with children from birth so that they are ready to learn, read and write at school.
BACC provides development opportunities for the community in accordance to their needs. For example, the organisation is currently providing regular computer classes to promote digital literacy and inclusion.
Relaxation and Fitness
BACC provides members of the community a range of opportunities to improve their health and wellbeing through relaxation and fitness workshops. Some of these workshops include Yoga, Zumba, Qigong, Bollywood Dancing and Meditation Class.
BACC works with young people aged 12-25 and supports young people to participate in recreation, education and employment activities contributing to a strong sense of belonging and pride in the community.
BACC connects members of the community through a number of art, craft and cooking groups. Activities which can be accessed by the community include kids cooking group, community markets and floristry groups.
BACC facilitates a number of groups aimed at assisting the community. These groups include parents groups, men’s group, seniors outings day, play groups and Koori Outreach.
BACC provides ongoing support to families and/or carers attending community groups or courses. Whilst parents/carers attend groups, qualified childcare workers ensure children are cared for in a safe, positive and welcoming environment. Through its Blacktown Roving Child Care Program, BACC also provides mobile child care services to other not for profit service providers in the Blacktown Local Government Area.
